BIO:
The American Hitmen literally formed on the battlefield in Fallujah, Iraq, during Operation Phantom Fury in 2004. Dan and Tim Cord, Ben Porterfield, and Dan "Jay" Jarmon were all serving with in the U.S. Marine Corps during some of the bloodiest, most intense fighting that the war in Iraq had to offer. Upon returning home, the four Marines used their musical talent to form San Diego's hottest new rock band, the American Hitmen. The American Hitmen headlined shows all over Southern California, at venues such as the Whisky A Go Go, the House of Blues, the Del Mar State Fair, Belly Up, and the world famous Viper Room.
In 2007, the American Hitmen were honorably discharged from the U.S. Marine Corps and moved to Utah to pursue a full time career in music. They met up with the phenomenally talented drummer, Phil Snyder, and quickly gained a reputation for being one of the most talented and energetic rock bands on the West Coast. In 2008, the American Hitmen headlined the opening night of the Vets for Freedom tour, in San Diego, playing on the flight deck of the USS Midway. That performance secured an invite to the California Music Festival, which proved to be another successful performance by the American Hitmen.
In late 2009, the American Hitmen were the first American rock band to be officially invited by the Vietnamese Ministry of Culture to perform in Vietnam in 36 years. They opened up the Vietnam's first Hard Rock Café, in Ho Chi Minh City, and gained nationwide attention for their amazing shows and historical importance, considering Vietnam's relationship with the United States. The American Hitmen were given an open invitation by the Vietnamese government to come back anytime and play for the people of Vietnam.
From their rich, haunting lyrics to their seemingly endless energy on stage, the American Hitmen have proven time and time again that they are a force to be reckoned with!
AMERICAN HITMEN has also performed for Freedom To Rock while they were doing show performances weekly at the E-list club in Camp Pendleton, CA.
Thank you for our FTR members who are in the Armed Forces. Know we bring this music to you to show our appreciation for all you do to keep us free. Without you our dreams would never have a chance. Support YOUR troops! Either stand behind them or stand in front of them.
