Johnny Blas

New York native, 5-time recording artist and Latin jazz super star Johnny Blas has performed and recorded in the world of Jazz and Latin music for over 25 years. His diverse experience has enabled him to equally display his exceptional talents, energy and profound versatility, by leading a Latin Jazz Band. His mastery of music allows him the ability to easily adapt and cover a broad spectrum. Johnny's rich fresh sound captivates his audience like no other. Johnny has 5 Latin Jazz CD recordings out under the Cubop Label. The recordings showcase a majority of his own original arrangements.

His music is currently played in the Top 10 U.S. radio markets and through out Europe. His latest CD shows a different side of Johnny with a funky world beat fusing Latin, Funk and Jazz together. He is also featured on one of his tunes playing the soprano saxophone which was one of his original instruments before he began playing percussion.
